Notes

Direct machine-readable bylaw register. Monitoring max(bylaw_number) gives you 'council passed a new bylaw' alerts, and the PDF URL pattern bl#####.pdf is trivially predictable.

LICENCE LINKED 2026-10-12 (owner: a licence link wherever possible): its dataset on data.edmonton.ca states its licence as 'See Terms of Use' (licenseId SEE_TERMS_OF_USE, read 2026-10-12 at /api/views/<id>.json), and the portal's Terms of Use link opens the Open Government Licence – City of Edmonton v1.0 (story msh8-if28). Refresh cadence is lumpy — cross-check against Public Hearing agendas in eScribe for bylaws still in progress. document_url is a nested Socrata URL object, not a plain string.
