Notes

The live temperature, condition, humidex and wind-chill cell. ECCC's own feed for the city page its Edmonton location page links (the PUBLIC_URL coordinates in pipeline/sources/weather.py): one fixed URL, allowed by robots.txt, published for feed readers. Replaced GeoMet's citypage item on 2026-10-03, which robots.txt disallows — owner's call.

LICENCE LINKED 2026-10-12 (owner: a licence link wherever possible): the record's terms are ECCC's Data Servers End-use Licence, cited. LIVE LAYER ONLY, never brief content, and mode 'api' on purpose: 'feed' would have the collector poll the forecast entries as news. functions/live.js currentConditions() reads the Current Conditions entry and nothing else. Its fields are `<b>Label:</b> value<br/>` lines inside CDATA, present only when ECCC has them: Blatchford often reports no Condition, and Wind Chill and Humidex appear only when they apply. The URL's coordinates snap to the nearest city page, so the feed's own <title> ('Edmonton - Weather - Environment Canada') is the identity check, and an entry older than three hours is refused. The datamart's citypage XML carries the same observation, but finding its newest file needs a directory listing, which the MSC usage policy forbids for real-time polling (AMQPS only).
