Notes

THE anchor source for Edmonton public safety. Homicides, charges laid, autopsy results, arson investigations, fraud/scam warnings, officer-involved incidents. Each item is already written as a publishable news item with full body text in the description field.

Content-Type is text/html not application/rss+xml — strict parsers reject it. Descriptions are double-HTML-escaped, requiring two unescape passes. Not linked from /News; only discoverable on the /News/MediaReleases page. edmontonpolice.ca has NO robots.txt (404) so no crawl restrictions are declared. Sitecore CMS — URL slugs are hand-typed and inconsistent (e.g. 'ArsonATIAug122026', 'violentoffenderAug11').

If this is yours and you want it left out, write to hello@edmontondailybrief.ca. We stop reading it and withdraw everything that cited it, past editions included. Every source · How this paper is made
